The 7 Secrets to Your Success in 2026

As we kick off a new year, here’s what you need to know…

The business-success word for 2026 is STRATEGY.

But not just any strategy will do. It has to be the one(s) that are most aligned with your strengths, personal values, and vision for your life and business.

Because there’s no more room for the overwhelm, burnout, or the staying stuckness that dysregulates your nervous system and limits your capacity for having a greater impact in the world.

There are too many people in the world who need your help, and their willingness to invest in their health continues to rapidly grow, as recently reported by the Global Wellness Institute

“Wellness ($6.8T) now surpasses other global mega-industries, including sports ($2.7T), tourism ($5T), the green economy ($5.1T), and IT ($5.3T). It’s almost four times bigger than the pharmaceutical industry ($1.8T).”

One of the things I’ve learned through my own personal health journey is that you could be “doing all the healthy things” — but doing all the things doesn’t necessarily get the results.

It’s the personalized health-improvement strategy guided by data that produces the outcomes.

The same can be said for your business. It’s not about doing all the things — it’s about doing the things that matter. Having a personalized strategy driven by data, instead of copying what others are doing or jumping into systems and spinning your wheels.

These are the 7 reasons why strategy is the secret to your success in 2026…

#1 – Foundation Before Growth:
Strategy—particularly around niche clarity and structured offerings—creates the essential foundation for scalable and sustainable business growth.

#2 – Guides Decision-Making:
Having a clear strategy prevents overwhelm, provides focus (“stepwise, one thing at a time”), and informs all major business decisions, including marketing, automation, and client acquisition.

#3 – Supports Authenticity and Alignment:
A strategic approach ensures messaging and services are aligned with your personal strengths and values, leading to authentic client attraction and satisfaction.

#4 – Precedes Systems and Automation:
System-building and automation are effective once key strategic elements (niche, package, and service structure, messaging) are well established.

#5 – Increases Client Success:
Thoughtful strategy in packaging, pricing, and delivery enhances client experiences, compliance, results, and referrals.

#6 – Facilitates Adaptation & Progressive Results:
Ongoing ideal client target market research and strategy refinement allow for adaptable, research-driven business evolution.

#7 – Reduces Wasted Effort:
Strategy prevents wasted time and resources on misaligned marketing tactics, unnecessary tools, or premature scaling.

So, where do you get the data to guide a personalized strategy for success?

By intimately knowing who your ideal client is (aka your niche)!

When you intimately know who your ideal client is, you’ll be able to gather important data to guide every aspect of your business, such as:

  • Where they like to spend their time
  • How they like to consume information
  • What words they are using to describe their problem
  • What types of solutions they are searching for
  • What makes them ready, willing, and able to invest in what you have to offer

These types of insights are the reasons why I put more effort into Instagram than other social media platforms, why a monthly podcast interview is part of my marketing plan, and how I was able to grow my email list and consistently enroll clients with in-person talks at local meet-up groups, yoga studios, and kettlebell studios.

Plus, it gave me the insight to determine the exact number of sessions and meeting frequency clients needed to get the greatest results — and therefore how to calculate a profitable package rate.

All of which has helped me build a thriving health business.

Here are a few things you can do to get clear on (or reconnect with) who your ideal client is:

  1. Reflect on who you are as a person, not as a practitioner — because in many ways, they are a reflection of you as a person moving through the world.
  2. Interview 1–2 of your best clients to “study them” and get key insights.
  3. Review discovery call/consultation application forms from previous ideal clients to collect the words they use to describe themselves, their problems, and the solutions they want.

Marketing and attracting clients might seem complicated, but it doesn’t have to be when you ditch the distractions and take strategic action.
