When I left the corporate and personal training worlds to become a Functional Health Practitioner, it was because I primarily wanted to:

  1. Help more people on a deeper level around the world
  2. Work less to take better care of myself and enjoy life more
  3. Make more money to fund my personal and professional dreams

How about you?

I suspect these reasons ring true for you too, since they are the most common things I’ve heard across the hundreds of Functional Health Practitioners I’ve coached on business over the years.

But instead of actually making these 3 desires a reality, most functional health practitioners find themselves feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, and broke.

This is how I felt too at the beginning of building my virtual health business.  I started out energized and ambitious, but quickly realized I was running out of TIME.

I worked long days and even weekends to get everything done that my business needed to run…

Reviewing client case notes
Prepping for client sessions
Following up after client sessions
Tracking a client’s program status
Onboarding new clients
Sending client and marketing emails
Creating social media content
Revenue and expense tracking

There is only so much time in a day and I was the only one person trying to do it all.  If I was going to help more people around the world so I could make more money while working less, something had to change.

I took a good hard look at my business to identify the 3 biggest things draining my time, preventing me from doing what was needed to make more money and enjoy life. Those 3 things were:

  1. All of the steps to onboard a new client; collecting payment, sending welcome emails, sending/receiving intake forms and lab tests, following to make sure they completed everything
  2. Discovery Call booking and enrollment follow-up; collecting information prior to the call to prep, coordinating a call time, rescheduling if needed, following after to enroll
  3. Client program tracking and engagement; keeping track of sessions, program compliance, and engagement

As soon as I realized working manually across different platforms was not in alignment with the life I wanted to live or the way I wanted to serve clients, I started looking for a solution.

At the time, I didn’t have the financial stability yet to hire regular help, so what could I do?
